One of the Breadth indicators on StockCharts is the Zahorchak measure.

Greg Morris, a long time contributor on the StockCharts blogs brought this indicator to StockCharts and also provided a revised version as an alternate.
You can read more about that here:

https://stockcharts.com/articles/dancing/2015/09/zahorchak-measure-ii.html

The chart below shows both the 'old' (top panel) and the revised version. The original version ranged from +15 to -15. The revised version goes from +10 to -10. The 'signal' lines are the same. The line chart for VTI is shown in the top panel for observation purposes.

You may note that the NYSE version has moved above -6 already on the revised and printed -6 today on the original version.

The Nasdaq versions of these indicators hasn't moved above -6 yet.

Hi guys,

I'd like to create a 5 day breadth thrust alert using stockcharts if possible. The formula would look something like this:

[[!ADVNYA + !ADVNYA 1 day ago + !ADVNYA 2 days ago + !ADVNYA 3 days ago + !ADVNYA 4 days ago] / [[!ADVNYA + !ADVNYA 1 day ago + !ADVNYA 2 days ago + !ADVNYA 3 days ago + !ADVNYA 4 days ago] + [!DECLNYA + !DECLNYA 1 day ago + !DECLNYA 2 days ago + !DECLNYA 3 days ago + !DECLNYA 4 days ago]]] * 100 > 73.61

...and I would be alerted when these conditions are met

but my syntax isn't correct here...

is the formula I'm suggesting possible in stockcharts?

Thanks in advance

I've figured out that the NYMO/Mcclellan oscillator can be calculated intraday by setting symbol to $NYAD and a MACD indicator with 19,39,1 parameters. Is there a way to use indicators or something else in stockcharts to calculate the summation (NYSI) intra day? thanks in advance

It has been a few month that Advance-Decline indicators, like $NYAD/$NYUD, $AMAD/AMUD, $NAAD/NAUD, have intraday data issue, the intraday data is very volatile and wrong compared with EOD adjusted data, no matter they are minute/hour data. This make these data during trading hour useless. Has anyone noticed this and asked to fix?
I remember this started a few months ago, and these intraday indicator became volatile and showed wrong value during trading hour, for instance, $NYUD ranges from -400 to 600 on 2/15/2019, but the intraday value could be over 2000. They only got corrected in a few hours after market close. This means during trading hours, these indicators are useless. It's funny the correct value can be see on chart List Summary but can't be show on the chart.
Below are examples.
2/15/19 Intraday chart during trading hour(Wrong data, $NYUD ranges from -100 to 2300):

I was intrigued by the preponderance of on-line news stories regarding Tom Lee's "near-perfect" indicator for 4% or greater market declines in the S&P 500 over the coming month--a decline in the number of NYSE stocks above their 200-day moving average to 50% of the total NYSE stocks.

It looks like this number is tabulated differently on stockcharts.com than on barcharts.com. But any thoughts on this indicator?

I'm looking for someone with a quantitative bent to backtest what market-breadth might predict about the S&P 500 (whether certain levels are associated with veritable probabilities of declines. Close crosses down MA(high, 10) from up.
RSI 4 < 50.
Macd 3,12 histogram current period less than previous period .

What I am struggling with is the MACD Histogram settings. What I have written so far is below

and

[type = stock] AND [group is not ETF] and [name not contains "Trust"] and [name not contains "Notes Due"] and [name not contains "Shares"] and [name not contains "Fund"]

and

[ TODAY CLOSE < EMA (24, CLOSE)] AND
    [ TODAY CLOSE x SMA(10, HIGH)] AND

  [RSI(4) < 50] AND

[MACD Hist(12,3) < 1 day ago MACD Hist(12,3)] AND

[ADX Line(5) > 35.0]
