Can stockcharts bring back the $tick or $tickq index? They stopped tracking it in 2019, but would have been helpful in 2020 and April 2025. I remember when this stopped but forgot the reason and can't find documentation, although historical data is still available on the indicator. Would be nice to track this going forward

ACP Scans Not Working

For the past day, none of my ACP scans are working. Same code and stock universe as before. Nothing has changed. When I run the scan from the Advanced Scan Workbench it works fine and produces results. When I run the same exact scan from the ACP scan panel nothing happens. I have tried different browsers, signed out and in, rewritten the code, nothing works. Send a request to SC for help, but that takes a while. Anyone else having this problem?

Not finding NSE Indices in scan workbench scan criteria and 1 another

In the Scan Criteria of Scan Editor Box, I want to scan the stocks only under NIFTY 500 index and other indices of NSE, for particular indicators, candlestick patterns, trends, volume etc. Now , how to set the criteria in such a away as mentioned. Also, the "Last market closed(2 May)" in After market hour Time of 3rd may. I was setting criteria at 7.30 pm and NSE EOD ends at 3.30pm. So, it should have been "Last market closed(3 May)" not " Last market closed(2 May)" How to set the Scan Workbench for scanning NSE indices and stocks as per Indian Trading hour. Sector Spiders

I have recently decided to try my hand at trading SC sector spiders like XLY and XLP. I use Interactive Brokers to place trades and I use their charting system to watch inter day action. For some reason there is a huge discrepancy between their chart pricing and SC chart pricing. It's forcing me to stop our much sooner than I had anticipated. As an example, I will use XLP. Using IB charts to find the previous swing low for XLP on Sept 6th, I see $71.20 give or take a few pennies but using SC I see the same swing low on Sept 6th but the pricing is something less than $70.80 give or take a few pennies. Would you know why their is such a difference in pricing between the two services?

Industry Groups vs $DJUSxx industry members

Just some information The Industry groups on StockCharts as viewed via the Sector Summary drill downs are different than the members of the Dow Jones Industry classifications. StockCharts uses their data providers classification/grouping for industry/sector, but they use the Dow Jones data for the Charts of the industry groups. Example, is one that has been ticking on my nerves for a bit. $DJUSAL is the Dow Jones Aluminum index. I often wondered why it had, essentially, the same performance characteristics as AA (Alcoa). Put the two symbols on a perf chart and they run together. Slap them on an RRG chart, the same. Using the Sector Summary for Materials> Aluminum, you get 8 names. Of these 8 names only 2 are in the Dow Jones Index. In fact, only 2 names make up the $DJUSAL. AA and KALU. DJ Indexes are cap weighted, so AA accounts for approximately 95% of the $DJUSAL performance. So, if you have a chartlist of the $DJUSxx to run scans against, it's just something to be aware of. StockCharts also uses the $DJUSxx when using the $Industry option in PctRelative and Price/Price Performance indicator on a chart. If you run a scan and select an industry group(s), these use the StockCharts data providers classification for selection.

Scanning multiple chart lists in a single scan

Index membership is something that changes more frequently than one may think. I've put a request in to StockCharts inquiring as to how often they update their constituents? Wasn't looking, but stumbled upon one that was removed from the Index in April, but showing as still IN the index according to StockCharts. I'll update this with the response.

I paid for real time quotes a couple of days ago. I am still getting delayed quotes.

Adjusted price data misleading?

Dear Traders, Stockckarts uses adjusted data which is imho irritating in particular when scanning for stocks. I understand the adjustment in the case of splits, but in the other cases such as ex-dividend price action, the adjusted price levels appear misleading, see e.g. AM in weekly (PnF is different, support and resistance levels are different etc.). There is a possibility to display unadjusted data with underscore, but this unfortunately un-adjusts the splits as well. How do you deal with this issue?

DJ Industry Indexes missing data

I've noticed a couple of the Dow Jones industry indexes aren't being updated for the last week (seen in Industry Overview), $DJUSTR - Tires in Consumer Staples, and $DJUSCL - Coal in Energy. Anyone know what's up with this? They haven't been updated since Sept 18th and there's no information listed on the Summary about the indexes going away. If the Dow Jones indexes are being discontinued I sure hope Stockcharts will be providing an alternative industry index..

CANE - (sugar ETF)

hi i am looking at CANE which is the same thing as "sugar #11" futures market (or i thought it was) however when you look at the price today it shows a reversal fully engulfing candle over yesterdays price however when you look at it on the barchart.com which is the futures version of it, it shows sugar as a down day. In other words they are not showing the same/similar price structure. can someone please help me understand what i am missing here? thanks

RRG issue

Just a heads up. Something to be aware of. It appears that if a security shows up in the Market Movers panel, but doesn't have a year's worth of data, when you click on the RRG link, that security(s) will be excluded from the chart. It's understandable, but just something to be aware of. If you click on the CandleGlance option, the security will show.

GOOG and GOOGL

StockCharts shows GOOG as a midcap name and GOOGL as a large cap name. They both have market caps over 375 billion putting them in the top 20 of all market caps in the market.

Not only the values of the daily candle & volume, but also all the values shown in the indicators and the values of the overlays If these are defined in the usage graph, such as price channels.
