Two scans that I am stuggling to code .. Need Help! Thanks ;

Hi All,

Thanks in advance;

I am trying to code two Intraday scans.

1. Red to green move: Opens above or below "Yesterday Close". Goes into Red (below Yesterday close), and comes back to break into Green (above Yesterday close). I want to catch these moves, before or immediately after they break.

2. Break of High of the day: Stock makes a high of the day and goes down and breaks it back with a "U shaped" turn. I want o catch these before they break or immediately after.

I was able to code several scans with all indicators, but these two scenarios was a struggle to play with (Open, Close, High and Low);

Any help is highly appreciated.

    If you run a scan during market hours as of the most recent update, it will consider the most recent update as the closing data for any time frame you specified in the scan - daily, weekly or monthly. You cannot specify a scan in an intraday time frame - hourly, five minutes, one minute, etc. So you could not scan for an hourly MACD crossover, or a 5 minute EMA, etc. Likewise, you cannot scan for intraday price patterns.

    The following should help you in your plight. We are using the Elder Impluse.

    click on (Standard Scan Workbench) http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.uscan then fill in the boxes as needed.

    Global filters section:

    avg vol: 100000.........over 20 days
    avg price: >$10.00....over 60 days or whatever price you like.

    Predefined chart patterns

    first box top down .....Elder Bar Red ......1...true
    next box down ..........Elder Bar Green....0...true

    rest leave blank

    Scan - 70 F - Elder Impulse plus one green bar
    • For the last market close:
    • United States Stocks with...
    • 20-day Simple Moving Average of Volume for today is greater than 1000000
    • 60-day Simple Moving Average of Close for today is greater than 10
    • The chart has a Elder Bar Red pattern for today
    • The chart has a Elder Bar Green pattern for yesterday

    eg......abc, achc, adsk, agn, amat...found 90 so far

    Ps. what I am looking for is a scan that posts the low for the day (yesterday) or the high for the day (yesterday).
